Please join us at Homer Watson House & Gallery for the April edition of our 2017 educational Interactive Speaker Series!

Join artist Nancy Peng in this engaging printmaking demonstration and hear about the process involved in creating her exhibit Confluence.  Learn how Peng’s passion for both printmaking and painting are joined together to create a flowing technique of both paint and ink.  Discover ways Peng combines both Japanese and western materials and captures both light and energy in her work.  Peng will describe how inspiration found in nature and people influence the outcome of her pieces and she will demonstrate how to blend watercolour and ink into whimsical “inkscape” painting.

Nancy Peng is an award winning artist that has shown her work extensively throughout the Waterloo Region and beyond.  Peng enjoys teaching in the area and is a member of many local art groups. She has held different positions, counselled and co-ordinated community art projects.

In addition to our educational lecture, we will also serve light refreshments and provide tours of Homer Watson’s former home. Feel free to bring a lunch. Admission for this event is $10.00 per person. Complimentary admission is offered to those who hold a valid membership.
