Love of fibre and stitching, as an art form is the common thread amongst the Connections Fibre Artists and their exhibit Celebrate the Seven.

Homer Watson House & Gallery is proud to be presenting this year’s Quilt & Fibre Exhibition featuring the Connections Fibre Artists.  Each artist has created their own original art reflecting their research into the Canadian Group of Seven artists. Connections Fibre Artists’ works are inspired by their own memories of the Canadian Landscape, by an emotional response to a particular Group of Seven artist or painting, or by some of the techniques and colour palettes used by these iconic Canadian artists. The result is an intriguing exhibition displayed in one of the oldest operating art galleries in Canada. The works of art will hang in the same space that many of the Group of Seven exhibited, taught or served on the Board of Directors many decades prior.
